Gbike San Francisco Bay Area

What's different about riding through Google's Gbike program in the Bay Area.

You're riding through Google's Gbike program. Your subscription is a standard Friiway subscription with a few things that come with the program.

Who to contact, quickly

  • Something mechanical - a noise, a rattle, a flat, brakes: use the campus bike shop at Google or any local bike shop, whichever is easier. You don't need to book through Friiway first.

  • Something bigger - motor, battery, drivetrain, anything that doesn't feel safe: stop riding and email [email protected]. We'll take it from there.

  • Returning your bike: we collect it from you — at home or on campus. Nothing to drop off. Submit your return request at account.friiway.com and a teammate will follow up directly to coordinate a pickup time with you.

What's different for you

  • We deliver your bike. To campus or to your home, whichever suits. No trip to a shop to collect it.

  • We collect it too. When you're ready to return the bike, we'll come and get it. No drop-off to arrange.

  • Routine servicing is done at a campus bike hub or local bike shop. For everyday maintenance — a tune-up, a brake adjustment, a flat — you can use the campus bike shop or a local bike shop, whichever is easier. For anything bigger, get in touch with Friiway and we'll take it from there.

That's it. Everything else works exactly as it does for any Friiway rider.

Everything else

Friiway manages your subscription — billing, swaps, returns, and cancellation. Use account.friiway.com to check your billing history, update payment details, or submit a return request.

Eligibility, enrollment, and leaving Google

These are handled by the Gbike program rather than Friiway. Speak to your Gbike team about eligibility, adding a bike, or what happens if you move on from Google.
