How Billing Works

When you're charged, how your billing cycle starts, and what to know about your security deposit.

Friiway billing is straightforward β€” one monthly charge, no surprises.

When billing starts

You pay for your first month at the time of sign-up. Your billing cycle starts the day you pick up your bike from your dealer. From that date, you're billed monthly on the same day each month until the bike is returned.

What you're charged

Your monthly fee covers everything: your bike, maintenance for normal wear and tear, theft and damage protection, roadside assistance through Better World Club, and your lock. There are no separate line items or hidden fees.

Your statement will reflect your shop's name along with Friiway β€” for example, "Bike Shop (Friiway)" β€” to help you identify the charge.

Your rate depends on the bike you're subscribed to. If you swap to a different bike, your billing adjusts automatically to reflect the new rate.

Security deposit

When you subscribe, you also pay a $500 security deposit prior to picking up your bike. This covers you in the event of theft or accidental damage. See Theft & Damage Protection Overview for details.

The security deposit is only returned after the bike is returned and the subscription has been cancelled. It can take 1-3 days for returns to process.

Payment method

Payments are processed automatically via the card you have on file. To keep your subscription running smoothly, make sure your payment information stays current. See Updating Your Payment Method if you need to make a change.

For billing questions, contact your dealer first. They can help with most account-related questions or escalate to Friiway if needed.
