When billing starts
You pay for your first month when you sign up. Your billing cycle starts the day you get your bike, and from then you're billed on the same day each month until the bike is returned.
What you're charged
Your monthly fee covers everything: your bike, maintenance for normal wear and tear, theft and damage protection, roadside assistance through Better World Club, and your lock. There are no separate line items or hidden fees.
Your rate depends on the bike you're subscribed to. If you swap to a different bike, your billing adjusts automatically to the new rate.
Security deposit
When you subscribe, you also pay a $500 security deposit before you get your bike. It covers you in the event of theft or accidental damage — see Theft & Damage Protection Overview.
Your deposit is returned once the bike is back and your subscription is canceled. Refunds take 1–3 business days to reach your original payment method.
If anything that belongs to the bike doesn't come back with it — charger, battery, key, or an included accessory — the replacement cost is deducted from your deposit at your local shop's current price. Return the item and we'll refund the difference. See Returning Your Bike.
Payment method
Payments are processed automatically using the card you have on file. Keeping your payment details current keeps your subscription running smoothly — see Updating Your Payment Method.
You can view your full billing history and download receipts any time at account.friiway.com.
