What's Covered Under Maintenance

What counts as normal wear and tear, what your dealer handles at no extra cost, and basic care tips.

What's Covered Under Maintenance

Your subscription includes maintenance for normal wear and tear — handled by your local dealer's expert mechanics at no extra cost. Here's what that covers and how it works.

What's included

As you ride, parts naturally wear down. That's expected, and it's covered. Your dealer will take care of things like:

  • Brake pad replacement and adjustments

  • Tire replacement and tube repairs

  • Chain and drivetrain wear

  • Cable adjustments

  • General tune-ups and safety checks

  • Shifting and derailleur adjustments

You don't need to worry about budgeting for these repairs — they're part of your subscription.

What's not covered under maintenance

Maintenance covers normal wear and tear from regular riding. It doesn't cover damage from accidents, crashes, or misuse — that falls under your theft and damage protection plan. See Theft & Damage Protection Overview for how that works.

Basic rider care

While your dealer handles the mechanical work, a little routine care on your end goes a long way:

  • Keep your tires inflated — check pressure regularly. Under-inflated tires wear faster and make the ride harder.

  • Keep your bike clean — wipe it down occasionally, especially after riding in wet or muddy conditions.

  • Charge regularly — don't let the battery sit fully depleted for long periods.

  • Don't attempt major repairs yourself — your dealer's mechanics are trained on your specific bike. Bring it in and let them handle it.

When to bring your bike in

If something feels off — brakes are squeaky, shifting is rough, tires are worn — contact your dealer and schedule a service visit. It's better to bring it in early than to ride on a bike that needs attention. See How to Schedule Service for the process.

Maintenance schedules and service processes vary by dealer. Contact your local dealer to schedule service or ask about their maintenance process.
