These bikes are built for daily use and issues are rare, but routine wear does happen from time to time. Here's what to look out for — and a reminder that all of these are covered under your subscription's maintenance for normal wear and tear.
Flat tires
Flats can happen from time to time — it's just part of riding. If you get a flat:
If you're near home or your dealer, walk the bike there or bring it in for repair. Don't ride on a flat — it can damage the rim.
If you're stranded, use your roadside assistance benefit. See Roadside Assistance for how to get help.
Flat repair and tire replacement are covered under your subscription — just bring the bike to your dealer.
To reduce the chance of flats, keep your tires properly inflated. Your dealer can tell you the recommended pressure for your specific tires.
Brake squeak
An occasional brake squeak can pop up — that's usually nothing to worry about. But if it's consistent or your brakes don't feel as responsive as they used to, that's a sign it's time for a service visit. Don't wait on brake issues — stopping power matters. Contact your dealer to schedule service and they'll take care of it at no extra cost.
Shifting feels rough
If your gears aren't shifting smoothly, a few things could be going on. Many of our bikes use a belt drive with an internal gear hub and twist shifter — so the issue could be in the shift cables, the twist shifter itself, or the hub. Bikes with a traditional chain drive may need a derailleur adjustment. Either way, this is routine maintenance and your dealer will diagnose and take care of it.
When in doubt, bring it in
If something doesn't feel right — a strange noise, a wobble, anything that seems off — contact your dealer. It's always better to get it checked than to ride on something that needs attention.
Contact your dealer directly for any service needs. For urgent situations where you can't ride, see Roadside Assistance.
